E-A-Ski is a rapper and producer from Oakland, CA. Early on, E-A-Ski balanced the responsibilities of being a rapper and producer for No Limit Records. He also produced and featured on some of Master P’s earlier releases (Mama’s Bad Boy, Ghettos Tryin to Kill Me, 99 Ways To Die, TRU — Understanding The Criminal Mind, West Coast Bad Boyz II, and I’m Bout It Soundtrack).

E-A-Ski and fellow producer CMT (often credited as E-A-Ski & CMT) produced many hits together, as a production duo, early on and in recent years. During the 1992–93 era, E-A-Ski & CMT produced several tracks on Spice 1's albums Spice 1 and 187 He Wrote . The album peaked at number 1 on the Billboard Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums and at number 10 on the Billboard 200 in 1993. E-A-Ski & CMT solidified their position as production masters, early on.

In 1995, E-A-Ski & CMT produced the hit single “Playa Hater” on The Luniz debut “Operation Stackola” album (certified platinum).

There isn’t another rapper/producer in the world, like E-A-Ski. I’ve often heard him being compared to other great producers from different areas.

“E-A-Ski is the so and so of the bay…”

And that’s cool.

But recognize that E-A-Ski, is E-A-Ski. I truly hope that music listeners from all across the globe, can listen to this truly amazing artist/producer. I hope that everybody recognizes the many talents of E-A-Ski, along with his contributions to hip hop in its entirety.

Please, backtrack E-A-Ski’s catalog (as a rapper and producer). Listen to his releases, features, and production for other artists.

I highly recommend listening to the following tracks from this Bay Area, California artist and producer:

Cruise Control

Please

If The Shoe Fit

Blast If I Have To

Showdown

IMG

Faces of Death

Earthquake

Dr. Dre & Mr. Ski (also known as “Split Personality”)

Today, you can find E-A-Ski actively creating music, and releasing his own content. Check out the music video’s for “Cruise Control” and “Please” on YouTube. They won’t disappoint. In recent years, Ski has produced tracks for Ice Cube, MC Ren, Too Short, B-Legit, Mistah F.A.B., San Quinn, Messy Marv, and others.

You can find E-A-Ski on Instagram and YouTube sharing production tips, equipment reviews, and other music-related content. I’ll continue to follow E-A-Ski, and provide future updates.
